Daily Journal Continued March 28,1998, By-William Thomas Thompson Holocaust art show April 22-May 26,Las Vegas Art Museum I have studied carefully the awesome event called"The Holocaust" and visited the Holocaust Museum in Washington on March 22 to both confirm my findings and learn more on this subject. Certain statements stand out in my mind that I wish to record first and I will then describe my art regarding the Holocaust. I was invited to paint for this show perhaps because I do prophecy art paint- ing that include armageddon,the last battle and other events from The Revelation dealing with past present and future events. This has been hard for me to do,not the paintings so much as the study to be right. It has been painful to learn of the awful mistakes my people have made down through the ages(Protestant Anglo-Saxon) Church people in the persecution of Jews giving rise to Hitler and a European slaughter of so many Jews and others by brutality. ( This is my humble opinion from what little I know.) Hitler did not do it alone,he had the help of the German people and others including the Pope. The United States stayed silent on the subject until bombs began falling on London. Should not we share fault for not putting a stop to the killing long before. From the beginning man was evil,God destroyed by flood.Gen.6 The second statement deals with Martin Luther in his call for the destruction of the Jews. The conversion of Luther after long time of teachings from the Romam Catholic Church of killing carried a feeling for him of power during those years of influence as the protestant reformation grew. John Calvin also ordered deaths. My prayer is for the Jews to be saved and see the light. I believe Hitler used such history as a prop,even an excuse to destroy the European Jews and to steal their wealth and power. Traditional studies do not reveal the total and complete picture. 6 million Jews and millions of others died at Hitlers hands! Only the truth will heal,only truth will reveal what man is and the cure,from the cross to the Holocaust but not the biggest loss in terms of numbers,100 million Christians died during the years of the protestant reformation at the bidding of the dynasty of Popes,yet no real memorials have been erected to their memory. It is hardly in history at all. Recent admission by the Roman Church as to silence is just the beginning of truth in history that will shake the world. Great tribulation Jesus spoke of on earth may have already passed. The soul of the sinners will rise up to meet all those of whom they killed and be judged accordingly. Europe was freed by America in world warII and the British Empire saved. Asia was also saved by miracle America from the brutal Japanese. (The catacombs of Rome reveals the death of many 0-330 AD) "Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord"He will bring all to justice in time. The silence of the American Church today allowing the prebirth slaughter of 30 million+ human beings will be punished. (Art tells the story of awful persecution of Jews and Christians) The scares of the Holocaust will live forever but there is hope and victory realized by faith in God Almighty through the Lord Jesus Christ. There is a spiritural Israel that will survive an eternal future. We cannot correct the past but we can correct the future. Dear Lord,Give us wisdom and knowledge to brave a future of good for all to forgive but remember the tyrants of antiChrist
